Hi From My Corner

Hey just wanted to say hi to everyone who is not reading this. it's been a crazy year.. crazy to think it's been another year. I remember not long ago it seemed like time just stood still and was never going to pass, and now like all the older people who went before me my comments have become, "wow how quick time flies by". Jax will be 1 year old this month, Isom is half way done with first grade, Robert will be going into kindergarten, and Kadin, & Jax will still be at home another year.
Faith and I will be coming up on our 12 year anniversary. I could go into alot of Detail about what has gone on this past year, but it's best to know that God is at work and has done alot of Great things through us, that we do not deserve for him to have done through us. God is still giving me great opportunities to serve here at CF and i really enjoy it.
Have a great Christmas, and I pray you are excited that you have another day of breath another opportunity to get it right today. An that you relish the opportunity that you get to do it.
We love you Guys, take care, and when you get a chance, get a hold of us.

A guys V-Day

Hey it was not a typical V-day for me, ha ha.. I spent it with 3 of my sons, if some of you don't know i have 4 sons now, but the youngest was too young to go with us. so it was Isom (5), Robert (almost 4), Kadin 2 1/2, and I at the San Antonio Live Stock & Rodeo Show. I had a great time with them.
It was great to hear them when i can, they have such soft voices and sometimes i can't hear what they are saying when they don't face me.. yeah.... yeahh... it's from working around jack hammers as a young man, backhoes, and maybe some loud concerts here and there.
Of course the toughest part about being a parent is telling your children no... man we went to the rodeo, and the one thing they wanted was swords that light up. i really had thought about it.. i was almost going to get them one but they were $15.00 and if you know me i am tight anyway, but man i was thinking i really wanted to save up and get them all a playground set in the back yard. yes i know that is way more then $50.00, more like 1000.00... but still if i didn't save the 50 i would never have the 1000.00 .
so i told them no but that was tough, i wanted to give them the presents they asked for, i really wanted to give all of them a sword to play with but i also knew, it would not last long at all. man i can not begin to tell you how many swords they have tore up and went through, they are 100% boys and nothing can last long, even medal pipes end up a little shorter by the time they are done with it.
so i knew.. i am going to save, but i knew i had a better gift in store for them, something that would last longer be more fun and provide years of fun for them. but i have to store up to give it to them, at the right time.
how many times are we fascinated by the cheap things in life and beg God for them, not realizing He has or is storing up the good things in life for us. we just have to wait on his timing. i recognize that when the boys ask me for something, it makes me think of what i want to give them... have you ever noticed that, when you kids ask you for something, you think of something ten times better, well ok maybe not for teenager or young adult, but for little kids, they usually don't want the most expensive thing, or the best quality things they see. But we think in those way for our kids.
if we, who perceive ourselves as faulty, evil, corrupt, only good from time to time, or just some twisted want to give our kids Good gifts, then how much more our heavenly Father want to do for us. Even before we ask.
The Rodeo was great, they all got in the Tahoe and was asleep within 10min before we got home. truly was a great v-day for the boys.. bulls, sheep, horses, fireworks, cokes, and rock candy suckers. Thanks for the tickets it's a great memory to have.

ha ha wow

Hey it's a baboon, yes one of the many photos i took while i was in Africa.
I can not begin to explain all that goes on around me on a daily basis. My prayer has just become Lord let me accomplish the things you want me to do for the day, not the urgent, not the unimportant, but exactly the things you want me to do. Is it to stop and listen, is it to go and do, is it to turn around and go back, is it to press on and accomplish.
There are always choice that you have to make every day, moment by moment, i just pray that the choice you make today are the ones that our God has led you to make. Nothing more, nothing less, but just in His will.
my 2009 has started off incredible, Our newest son is a month old now, I was ordained by my church with a special friend that led out in a challenge for me, a great friend who God has opened the door to me who led an awesome charge to our church, I had the opportunity to Go to Africa shortly after and see our water wells, and new sites to drill. Had the opportunity to come along our brothers in Africa and encourage them in their pastoring and strengthen them.
An now back home to a full plate... and Thank God for the full plate.. i love it.
so to all of you who continue to allow God to use you to bless others, thank you for the blessing you have passed on to me as well.
Thank You God, thank you to my Family, and thank you to my friends.

Jan 28th, 2009 I Cannot Do It

I Cannot Do It
Wow, there are a lot of things you can notice about Joseph, but to me one of the most important things to grab a hold of is that so often we forget we cannot do it! But God can!
Verse 16 “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer He desires.”
He reminds me of another young man that you will read about later on: Daniel. He was also given the ability to interpret dreams. His approach was the same, not by his power but By God’s power, will you have the answers you seek.
I pray that today you will grasp that line of thought, not by your power, but by the power of God, it is by what you know, and what you can accomplish. Are you so humbled by that, that it is the first thing that comes from your mouth when you talk to people? “I cannot accomplish that, but my God can, and He will help you find out the answer to your difficulties if you will listen to His Word.”
They might not be the answers you will be looking for, but they will be His answers none the less. Continue to allow people to see that it is God working through you and His name will be glorified.
